Rev. Young Sik An (UTS’01) has been appointed to the position of Vice President for Family Federation for World Peace and Unification International and as Chairman of the Human Resource Development Center.

The Unification Theological Seminary community - its students, faculty and staff - lifts its hearts in prayer for the families of the shooting victims of Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston.  We, and all members of the body of Christ, were shocked at this horrific event.  At the same time, we honor the beautifully inspired coming together of people in prayer, forgiveness and love. May the hand of God continue to embrace and comfort the families and friends of the victims of this senseless and tragic crime!

Its is 40 years since UTS first opened!

The Unification Theological Seminary was launched with the first convocation on September 20th 1975, welcoming the incoming Class of 1977.

Since then, close to 1700 graduates have gone out to serve the USA and the world. The service of those alumni throughout these 40 years has been exemplary. Wherever there is a front line then you will continue to find a UTS alumnus or alumna.

During the Alumni Conference on Graduation Weekend (May 23rd-25th) the Director of Development, Mr. Robin James Graham together with UTS President, Dr. Hugh Spurgin announced the upcoming UTS 40/40 Campaign ~ $40 per month for 40 months.

At 40 UTS is entering a process of re-imagination, re-definition and re-positioning to better serve the world through the next wave of graduates.

The goal is to have 200 alumni and friends join the 40/40 Campaign by September 20th 2015, the UTS Birthday.

In the next 3 months, from now through September 20th, 2015,

…..the Board of Trustees, the UTS president and the UTS development office will be reaching out to alumni and friends to ask for their commitment to launch UTS on its way to another 40 years!!!

Alumni, please take a few minutes to remind yourself of the role that UTS has played in your personal formation.

Now imagine the next 40 years and how important UTS will be in the lives of the next generation of UTS graduates.
