We are in the middle of a very significant year: September 20, 2015 was the beginning of the 40th year of theological education at UTS. I hope that you will join with me this anniversary year by contributing to the Annual Fund and the 40/40 Campaign.

Donors make bequests to make a difference after they are gone. Mary Goodman, a New Haven laundress who bequeathed her life savings (nearly $5,000) to Yale Divinity School to provide scholarships for African Americans, was especially successful in this regard: her bequest supported the school’s first black students, and continues to support students today, nearly 144 years later.

On Friday October 27, the UTS Theologians' Club held its weekly meeting with a presentation by Rev. Bessell on the topic: "The Process of Resurrection". This was a follow-up on the topic of "Ancestor Liberation" from last week. We had a very lively discussion about ancestors, life in the Spirit World and our responsibility during earthly life, which will be continued this week.

We also discussed about our further activities. The next few presentations will be on “Buddhism” by Mr.Kudo; “Islam” by Mr.Abdel; and "Women's Era" by Rev. Bessell.

We cordially invite students as well as faculty and staff to our weekly meeting every Friday 7 am in the Small Conference dining room at Barrytown campus.
