Lonnie McLeodCitizens Against Recidivism, Inc., on Monday, October 7, announced that Rev. Dr. Lonnie McLeod, Dean of the New York City Extension of Unification Theological Seminary and Pastor of the Church of the Living Hope in East Harlem, New York has been nominated to receive the Citizens Award.

The award will be granted at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at 515 Malcolm X Boulevard New York City, October 30, 2008, at a Banquet starting at 6:00 pm

In other news, Dr. McLeod recently delivered an important message on fatherhood and the African American family in America, at the third annual conference of the African American Healthy Families Initiative, which took place June 17-19, 2008, in North Carolina.
