The black church’s response to police brutality and the history of the struggle for justice will be explored in a presentation on Friday, July 31st at 6:30 p.m. at the Unification Theological Seminary, 4 W. 43rd St, in New York City during its Open House.

Reporting directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Director of Institutional Research and Assessment is responsible for providing leadership in the design, coordination, implementation, analysis and reports based on institutional and student learning assessment data and analyses.

Insightful, thought-provoking talk which reminded me of the recent "Captain Phillips" movie, the subtext of which was the hopelessness of the young Somalian men involved in pirating the container ship that Captain Phillips was in charge of. (I was also moved by the heart of the Captain who was trying to help these desperate young men to avoid certain death even while his own life was in grave danger.)

From a Principle perspective, the 3rd Blessing is a key dimension of building a world of peace.
